Noon advises Dubai SMEs on value of online sales

Dubai Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Saudi e-commerce giant Noon to host a webinar that raised awareness among local SMEs about the benefits of developing an online presence.

This initiative seeks to support the growth of e-commerce sales and expand the digital presence of Dubai-based businesses.

More than 200 companies attended the session, including representatives from Noon.

President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, commented: “In today’s digital age, having a strong online presence is crucial for business growth and sustainability.

“Dubai Chamber of Commerce is committed to supporting the growth of businesses by underlining the importance of e-commerce and developing a strong online presence in our increasingly connected world.

“The business community in Dubai benefits from an advanced digital infrastructure that enables the private sector to enhance its competitiveness by developing a strong online presence. We will continue to organise events and initiatives aimed at encouraging companies to leverage digital channels as a key pillar of their strategies for growth and sustainable success.”

Established in 1965, Dubai Chamber of Commerce represents and protects the interests of the business community in Dubai, striving to create a stimulating business environment.

In February, it organised its sixth episode of a series of digital industry workshops focusing on the e-commerce market.

The Mena e-commerce market reached about $37 billion in 2022 as the use of digital channels expanded, a report from EZDubai has found.

The figure is 16 per cent higher than the $31.7 billion recorded in 2021 and is forecast to hit $57 billion by 2026, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 11 per cent, according to Euromonitor International.
