talabat launches subscription service in Bahrain

Middle East q-commerce platform talabat has launched ‘talabat pro’ in Bahrain, a subscription service providing access to exclusive benefits, including unlimited free deliveries from selected vendors.

Managing director of talabat in Bahrain, Moaiad Aqel, said: “At talabat, we constantly seek to enhance our users’ experience by providing them with exclusive benefits that exceed their expectations. 

“Moreover, we have launched a paid subscription program that enables customers to receive free delivery on their food and non-food orders, in cooperation with leading restaurants and groceries in the kingdom. We remain committed to developing and improving the application’s services, whilst offering further exclusive features and offers.”

‘talabat pro’ is available now for customers across Bahrain and on all iOS and Android devices.

The q-commerce platform has recorded a 70 per cent growth in the overall non-food online delivery segment, including supermarkets, grocery stores and flower shops.

The company also achieved an order growth of more than 37 per cent in 2022 across its portfolio of food, groceries, and other non-food verticals.

The Middle East’s on-demand online grocery shopping industry is estimated to be worth $20 billion by the end of 2024.
