Carrefour Qatar obtains ISO certification for health and safety management system

Carrefour Qatar has achieved ISO 45001:2018 certification for its international standards for health and safety management systems in the retail sector.

Having attained the certification, Carrefour Qatar will be able to further enhance its retail hypermarkets’ health and safety management system.

The certification was given by TUV NORD, a German third-party testing, inspection and certification companies.

Carrefour regional director, Laurent Hausknecht, said: “Attaining the ISO 45001:2018 Certification reflects our unwavering commitment to ensure the health and safety of our employees, customers and partners. 

“It is a testament to our dedication towards continuously improving our occupational health and safety management system in line with the highest international standards. Efficient and advanced retail hypermarkets management system will remain among our top priorities.”

TUV NORD spokesperson said: “It is our pleasure to announce that Carrefour Qatar has achieved the ISO 45001:2018 Certification for occupational health and safety management system within Carrefour Qatar stores. 

“Carrefour Qatar is one of the first companies to obtain this certificate in the retail sector in Qatar, which confirms their commitment to taking care of all their colleagues and providing them with an appropriate safe workplace environment that helps them to carry out their tasks in line with the highest occupational health and safety standards.
