Skechers strengthens GCC footprint

Apparel Group is planning to drive the rapid expansion of its footwear brand Skechers across the GCC region. 

This strategic move underlines the Group’s commitment to enhancing its footprint within the dynamic market.

CEO of Apparel Group, Neeraj Teckchandani, said: “In line with our commitment to elevating customer experiences, we are strategically amplifying Skechers’ presence in the GCC.

“We are investing in key markets that offer robust growth opportunities. This aggressive expansion represents our confidence in the brand, our innovative product range, and the resilience of the GCC’s retail sector.”

The first store in the series, covering 2,588 square feet, was launched at Al Khiran, Kuwait on May 30, 2023. 

This was followed by the inauguration of Skechers at Najran Park Mall in Najran, Saudi Arabia on June 8, 2023.

The expansion of Skechers also stretches across Bahrain and Oman.

This month, another store is scheduled to launch in Bahrain, at Enma Mall.

This will be complemented by another opening later this month, at Salalah Grand Mall.

Today, Apparel Group has more than 2025 retail stores and over 80 brands on all platforms in its portfolio, while employing over multicultural staff.

Apparel Group boasts a strong presence in the GCC as well as India, South Africa, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Pakistan, and Egypt.
