French supermarket and hypermarket chain Géant, part of French retailing giant Group Casino, has opened its 19th store in the UAE at Fairway Mall, in the Jumeirah Golf Estates community.
The 2,100-square-foot store, spread across two floors, is the first duplex Géant supermarket.
President of everyday goods at GMG, said Marc Laurent, said:“An exciting residential and leisure destination like Jumeirah Golf Estates deserves a neighbourhood supermarket that ticks all the boxes.
“From the accent on fresh and sustainable produce to the abundance of choice and quality, our new supermarket is certain to become an integral part of the busy and active lifestyle of families and individuals who live and work in the vicinity.”
In February, the company announced its focus on three key areas – expansion, collaboration and sustainability – as part of this year’s growth strategy.
The chain planned to add more than 20 stores in the UAE.
