Carrefour UAE launches Ramadan campaign

News

Carrefour UAE is offering discounts of up to 50 per cent on more than 6,000 products as part of its Ramadan campaign, which began on February 21.

The campaign will see many promotions, which will include discounts on bulk buys, offers from international brands and discounts on its own private label.

During this six-week period, deals will be launched every week across multiple categories, including food, beverages, technology and homeware.

In addition, the brand is aiming to boost stock availability by 15 per cent and meet the increased demand throughout Ramadan.

Carrefour has also partnered with Emirates Red Crescent to offer customers the chance to donate boxes containing essential food items such as sugar, rice and cooking oil. Boxes are priced at either AED50 or AED100, with everything from the retailer’s own private label and can be purchased for customers’ own use or given to a family in need.

Meanwhile, the retailer is promoting regional SMEs at its stores, which will include an emphasis on Arabic food as well.

There will be an ‘Emirati Fresh Festival’ with price reductions of up to 30 per cent on fresh fruits and vegetables from neighbouring farms.

Customers will also be able to buy cheap iftar meals prepared at the stores for as little as AED15.

Christophe Orcet, head of commercial and operations of Carrefour at Majid Al Futtaim Retail, said: “In line with our strategy to deliver exceptional value through every experience, we have worked diligently over the past six months to secure discounts on over 6,000 products by negotiating with our extensive supplier network.”

“We remain committed to supporting the growth and prosperity of our communities as their trusted local partner by ensuring stock availability and price stability during Ramadan while promoting the taste of home. We are also proud to be collaborating with the Emirates Red Crescent to distribute Ramadan boxes filled with essentials to those in need as part of our ongoing mission to uplift the surrounding community.”
