UAE startup collaborates with Tap Payments to enhance MSME payment options

UAE startup Sterve, which helps MSMEs to set up their e-commerce platforms, has entered into a partnership with payments service provider Tap Payments.

According to a statement, the partnership between Sterve and Tap Payments is expected to make payments services simpler, faster and more secure for retailers and other small and medium businesses in the Middle East.

MSMEs can start accepting payments from the first day, and start accepting online payments which will be 25 per cent cheaper for Sterve’s customers.

Speaking about the partnership, Sterve co-founders Jaicky Kumar and Deepak Mishra said that, “Together, when the purpose is established and acted upon, great things can happen and the same can be said for the partnership between Sterve and Tap Payments. It will enable Sterve’s customers to accept digital payments with the same ease as the Sterve Business platform. The partnership has the potential to transform the digital payment landscape for MSMEs in the region.

Sterve helps MSMEs get online, efficiently manage business operations, send personalised marketing offers and increase sales up to 40 per cent. The company was featured among the top 100 startups in Abu Dhabi Finance week. Currently, more than 4,000 businesses are registered with Sterve and more than $8 million worth of transactions are completed over the platform.

Meanwhile, Tap Payments was founded in 2014 in Kuwait, to help businesses bill, accept, receive, and make payments online. It works with more than 100,000 businesses which include the Al Futtaim Group. It has operations across Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt.
