B.TECH, the leading consumer electronics retailer and one of Egypt’s major home appliances distributors, has launched “deel”, an innovative platform to help local merchants grow their businesses.
The recently launched platform integrates various e-payment solutions with a diversified portfolio of financial and payment services, such as credit payment terms, online payment methods, microfinance facilities, inventory finance, flexible payment terms up to 90 days and buy-now-pay-later services.
Through this customer-centric app, B.TECH expects to foster Egypt’s digital transformation and facilitate the growth of small and medium-sized businesses throughout the country, the company said.
The app operates with more than 50 companies across the country, including Samsung, LG, Xiaomi, Fresh, Kiriazi and Beko, and works with multiple retailers across 27 governates.
“We are proud to be introducing to the market an omnichannel platform fully equipped to help local merchants grow their business while addressing the critical bottlenecks the local retail sector is facing,” said Dr Mohamed Khattab, chief transformative officer at B.Tech.
“With deel, we aspire to empower small and medium businesses, create more opportunities for them and help them fulfil their potential amid steady growth in the e-commerce sector.
“The platform is tailored to meet the needs of the retailers and fill a much-felt gap in the B2B sector. With diligent R&D and one-on-one meetings with over 200 buyers, we have come to understand the challenges they face and tailored a customer-centric app that speaks to their needs.”
Egypt’s e-commerce market landscape has witnessed a 50 per cent year-on-year growth rate, with 42 per cent of customers buying services or products online, says a report by market research agency Growth from Knowledge.
