Fashion retailer ZARA has opened a store in Qatar’s latest shopping centre, Place Vendome.

Spanning over 3,000 square metres, the store is a standalone villa within the complex of the shopping centre and boasts a tree-planted rooftop.

The store stocks menswear on the ground floor, womenswear on the upper-ground floor and childrenswear and Trafaluc, ZARA’s clothing line for teenagers, on the top floor.

Areas of the store are dedicated to the most recent product launches and special collections, such as ZARA Beauty, the brand’s makeup range.

The range includes cosmetic products for eyes, lips, face and nails, made with more than 130 colours to give matte, metallic, glossy and pearl finishes in a wide range of shades.

Shoppers can use virtual fitting rooms, complete with integrated touch devices, to try products.

In keeping with the brand’s sustainability policies, cosmetic products are sold in refillable container.

The store also carries ZARA’s sportswear line, Athleticz, which combines technical features with sustainable materials to provide shoppers with comfortable and eco-friendly garments.

Located on the ground floor besides menswear, Athleticz offers shoppers performance products, such as footwear, shorts, underwear and backpacks.

To deliver convenience, sensors are integrated into the screens and mirrors of fitting rooms to scan items brought into stalls.

Visitors are shown various colours, models and sizes of items and their availability online and in stores across the city.

The store also houses self-checkout tills for easier and faster shopping experiences.

Shoppers who have placed click-and-collect orders on ZARA’s e-commerce site can visit the store’s collection section, which features a robotic unit that dispatches order items.

The technological concepts mark ZARA’s attempt to achieve real-time customer adaptation and offer conveniently and effectively integrated online and in-store shopping experiences.

By the end of this year, ZARA aims to produce 50 percent of its products under Join Life, the brand’s range of garments sustainably produced using environmentally friendly materials.

Place Vendome, which opened on April 15, spans 1.15 million square metres and is inspired by iconic high-street shopping destination Rue de la Paix in Paris, France.

The mall houses more than 580 retail outlets and two five-star luxury hotels operated by the Marriott International’s Starwood Hotels and Resorts.
