Thirty Saudi Arabia’s brands are poised to take part in the inaugural ‘Riyadh Fashion Week’, scheduled for October 20-23.

The participating brands include Dazluq, Kaf by Kaf, Not Boring and Uscita.

Hosted by the Saudi Fashion Commission, the event features a showroom promoting local brands that will give local and international buyers deeper insights into Saudi designers’ works and established brands with a wide range of styles.

The event will gather a global fashion community, including celebrities, VIPs, buyers and key industry stakeholders to explore Saudi’s rapidly emerging fashion market.

CEO of the Saudi Fashion Commission, Burak Çakmak, said: “For the first time, we are welcoming the global fashion community to the epicentre of Saudi fashion, here in Riyadh.

“The event will showcase the best of our creative talent, allowing yet another opportunity for our brands to connect with the world. Whether you join us in person or via the live stream, we can’t wait to highlight what Saudi fashion has to offer.”

This fashion show is organised to support the development of the fashion industry at both domestic and international levels.

The idea of Riyadh Fashion Week’s originated in June when the Saudi Fashion Commission participated in prestigious fashion events like Paris Men’s Fashion Week and Couture Week. During these occasions, Saudi designers showcased various collections under the Saudi 100 Brands program, an inaugural mentorship initiative led by the Commission.

In April, the Saudi Fashion Commission hosted the third edition of Swap Shop in Riyadh, in Square 1’s ‘A Fashion House’ in collaboration with Sela and Cenomi Retail to promote ethical and sustainable fashion choices.
