Kuwaiti company Injazzat Real Estate Development Company has won a contract for the construction of a shopping mall near the capital Kuwait City.
With the contract’s value standing at around four million Kuwaiti dinars ($13.2 million). the mall is set to be built on an area of around 3,484 square metres, the company said in a statement.
The project, located in Khaitan in the Farwaneya neighbourhood in the capital, has been awarded by the Public Authority for Housing Welfare.
“This project is part of the public-private partnership contract…the partnership is for 22 years, including two years for project completion and 20 years for management,” the company stated.
As of last month, Kuwait is home to a total of 60 chopping malls, according to a report by Rentechdigital.
