WEE Marketplace, the Dubai-based fastest non-grocery e-commerce platform in the UAE, has announced the appointment of Anton Sizemin as its new commercial director.
In his new role, Mr Sizemin will oversee vendor and supplier interactions at WEE and be responsible for attracting sellers to the marketplace and fostering their business growth within the platform.
He previously served as head of customer acquisition and development position at SberMegaMarket (one of the biggest e-commerce platforms in Russia), where he implemented the company’s B2B growth strategy.
Before his assignment at SberMegaMarket, the CEO was the executive director at Darix LLC, responsible for launching new products and expanding the brand into international markets.
WEE Marketplace (wee.ae) is an e-commerce platform specialising in fast delivery of non-grocery goods in UAE.
The platform caters to third-party retailers and aims to have up to 500 sellers.
Since launching in 2022, WEE Marketplace has had the lowest commission on the market.
WEE has ongoing partnerships with companies such as Careem and Talabat.
The platform can handle more than 100,000 orders per day.
The start-up plans to expand its fulfilment services to stock more than half a million products by the end of 2023.
