PANGAIA opens store at Dubai International Airport

Sustainable fashion brand PANGAIA has entered the travel retail business by launching a store at Dubai International Airport.

The company’s foray into the travel retail market follows its collaboration with Lagardère Travel Retail and Dubai Airports.

PANGAIA’s founder, Mira Duma, said: “With the incredible support of our partners, we were able to create an experience connecting the travelling audience back to nature, offering them a glimpse into the movement we are creating and having them join us on the journey towards more responsible production and consumption.”

The store offers a collection of plant-based activewear and powered-by-nature products.

For Lagardère Travel Retail, the partnership expands its operations in Dubai International Airport from F&B outlets to retail.

Founded by Russian entrepreneur Miroslava Vasilyevna Duma in 2018, and supported by investor Carmen Busquets, the co-founder of Net-a-Porter, the retailer is a company at the intersection of fashion, nature and science.

CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail Middle East, Vadim Motlik, said: “This new business venture is a testament to Lagardère Travel Retail’s commitment to providing innovative and unique experiences to passengers, alongside the strong sustainability focus our business has for the years to come.”

Lagardère Travel Retail operates over 5,000 stores in airports, railway stations and other concessions in 42 countries. Last year, it generated €5.2 billion in sales.
