Chalhoub Group to open 16 Adolfo Domínguez stores in Middle East over next four years

Chalhoub Group, the largest luxury distributor in the Middle East, has teamed up with Spanish brand Adolfo Domínguez to open 16 new stores in the Middle East over the next four years.

The first three openings will take place this spring in Dubai and Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), as reported by the brand to the National Securities Market Commission on Thursday.

Via this partnership with Chalhoub Group, Adolfo Domínguez will be able to quintuple its number of retail locations in the region, where it currently has only three stores – one in Kuwait and two in Qatar.

The new stores will be deployed in the various markets in which the Chalhoub Group has a presence, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon.

The partnership concerns the distribution of Adolfo Domínguez’s men’s, women’s and accessories collections, in both brick-and-mortar stores and shopping centres. It also involves boosting the brand’s online retail presence.

The Dubai-based Group has been distributing luxury brands for more than 68 years. With operations in more than 680 stores and 50 online spaces across 11 markets in the Middle East, the company employs 12,500 people.

Since 2016, Adolfo Domínguez’s international expansion has been one of the group’s growth drivers. More than half of the company’s stores are already located outside of Spain.

The group’s sales outside of Europe grew by 32.5 per cent between March and November 2022.

Adolfo Domínguez currently operates 343 stores in 19 countries worldwide.

In 2018, Chalhoub Group partnered with another luxury Spanish designer – Delpozo – to become the exclusive representative for the brand in the region from the Spring/Summer 2019 season.
