Rawabi Group opens hypermarket in Qatar

Rawabi Group has announced the launch of its17th and largest single-floor retail store in the GCC region — in Izghawa, Qatar.

Rawabi Group executive director, Ajmal Abdullah, said: “We assure that Rawabi hypermarket- Izghawa ‘Your Family’s Choice’ offers an ultra-modern shopping ambience that empowers a consumer to shop for their choice under one roof with quality products and service.”

The hypermarket spans more than 120,000 square metres of food and non-food, department stores, entertainment, kids’ entertainment, food courts, hot food sections and premium Arabic sweets stores.

Its flagship store concept includes the largest freshly baked products, seafood section, meat section, and fresh fruit and vegetable section.

The store has kept its eco-friendly environment concepts like low energy saving CO2 machines and plastic recycling machines, as well as eco-friendly checkouts. Smart retail concepts encompass express checkouts, self-checkouts, online shopping with free home delivery, click and collect, a premium privilege club membership programme and smart tokens for convenient shopping.

As part of rapid retail outlet expansion plans, the company also intends open a new hypermarket in Ain Khalid Area in Qatar after opening the Izghawa project.

Al Rawabi Hypermarket has more than 35 outlets, currently employing more than 1,100 workers.

Established in 1985, Al Rawabi Group has expanded its roots to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, with convenient stores and a wholesale division named Centro & Rawabi Market.
