Season 27 of Global Village is already under way – and this year there’s even more shopping to be had.

A one-stop shop for clothing, homewares, accessories, gadgets, spices and so much more, Dubai’s much-loved shopping and entertainment destination – with more than 3,500 retail outlets, 27 pavilions, 250 restaurants, and a number of cafes and street food choices – is back with a bang.

This year, Qatar and Oman will join 25 countries in celebrating their cultures, traditions and cuisines, offering shoppers the chance to pick up some authentic crafts and artworks from the Middle East.

The Road of Asia is another addition to Global Village this year. The new pedestrian street features 43 kiosks from 13 Asian countries, offering food and authentic products from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Bhutan, Myanmar, and the Philippines.

There are also 50 new dining concepts, including: the Railway Market, inspired by Thailand’s well-known Umbrella Market; the Indian Chaat Bazaar, offering popular street food in a wedding setting; and, an Asian-inspired floating market serving Indonesian ramen, Vietnamese pho,  Malaysian spicy grills and Korean dumplings.
