Bliss Flower Boutique celebrates Emirati Women’s Day with metaverse entry

In celebration of Emirati’s Women’s Day on August 28, UAE-based florist Bliss Flower Boutique has partnered with World Online Festival to list items on the metaverse – virtual-reality space where users can purchase digital items.

Users attending the regional online audio talent event can purchase two of the florist’s best-selling bouquets, Mixed Berry Smoothie and Red Apple Pomegranates, as virtual charms for their digital portfolio.

In keeping with Emirati Women’s Day’s theme this year, ‘Inspiring Reality, Sustainable Future’, Bliss Flower Boutique’s virtual collection focuses on sustainability.

“To celebrate Emirati’s Women’s Day and epitomising this year’s sustainability theme, we are delighted to be able to introduce Bliss to the metaverse and offer our users a mesmerising flower bouquet Charm to share with their favourite females,” said Gary Knight, CEO of WOLF.

“The metaverse has seen a surge in the number of luxury brands entering the space, but we are the first florist collaboration in the region.”

WOLF unites various artists, such as singers, poets, comedians and musicians, from across the region with their fans in virtual social spaces.

“We are seeing with fascination how the metaverse is changing the digital world, which is why we were so excited when WOLF approached us for this collaboration,” said Abbey Dean, co-founder and creative director of Bliss Flower Boutique.

“This is an incredible opportunity for us to be part of the region’s ‘game changers’ in this space while also connecting with our customers on a whole different level.”

Charms start at 25 cents.

Since its inception in 2008, Bliss Flower Boutique has expanded within the UAE, with 11 retail outlets across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.

Established in 2015 by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima, Emirati Women’s Day is celebrating its eighth edition.
