Doha Festival City in Qatar has welcomed four new brands as part of its expansion plans, with six more on the way this month.

Italian brand O Bag uses ultra-lightweight material to manufacture a range of exclusive handbags. Its store also stocks watches, sunglasses, footwear and a home line in collaboration with Guzzini, an Italian home accessory brand.

Hong Kong-based beauty product retailer Watsons stocks more than 200 makeup, skincare, haircare and personal care brands – half of which are exclusive to Watsons.

There’s also a ‘Natural and Clean Beauty’ area where sustainable products can be tested. Customers can also experiment with products in a special makeup area.

Parisian jewellery brand Djula’s second Middle East store offers luxury rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings inspired by ‘art nouveau’.

Lazordy, Cairo-based copper chandelier manufacturer and retailer creates crystal chandeliers that emulate Baccarat, Maria Theresa and Ceiling Chandelier models.

Stores still to open, include: human hair products’ manufacturer and wholesaler Hera Extension; Qatari luxury department store Fifty One East; children’s furniture brand That’s Living Kids; and Optifashion, a leading Italian eyewear brand.

The openings come after the mall added 56 brands throughout 2021 as part of its expansion plans, including women’s fashion store Serpil and children’s toy store Kiddy Zone.

Robert Hall, general manager of the mall, said: “We are very pleased to introduce more distinctive brands and delightful dining options to our visitors, expanding Doha Festival City’s already extensive breadth of offerings.

“We look forward to continuing our growth trajectory, and shoppers can anticipate even more retail and dining outlets to open.”

Opened in April 2017, Doha Festival City is the country’s largest mall.
