Tabby, a Mena-based BNPL fintech platform, has launched its shopping assistant Tabby Shop to simplify the shopping process.

The new app showcases more than 500,000 products from categories including fashion, beauty, home and electronics categories.

The feature helps customers to navigate products without having to switch between shopping apps and sites.

CEO and co-founder of Tabby, Hosam Arab, said: “We’re beyond excited to take the Tabby app to new heights and define a whole new era of shopping for the Mena region.

“For shoppers, discovering their favourite brands and products is easier than ever, while giving our retailers the opportunity to tell their story to the region’s most powerful shopping community”.

Tabby Shop features several shopping tools with smarter search, wishlist and deal alerts.

The shopping app is now available on the Tabby app in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Last month, The Saudi Central Bank gave Tabby a permit to run postpaid payment activity in the country.

This made the company the fifth authorised entity offering BNPL solutions in the kingdom.

In June, Tabby secured $50 million in debt financing from Abu Dhabi-based private investment firm Chimera, after bagging $58 million in Series C funding at a $660 million valuation from investors including PayPal in January.

Tabby collaborates with small businesses and global brands, including SHEIN, Amazon, Adidas, IKEA, H&M, Samsung and noon.

The fintech firm is active in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait and is valued at $660 million.
