Tabby: customers could be targeted for phishing attacks

Customers in the UAE could become victims of phishing attacks, according to Tabby, a BNPL platform.

The company has sent out an email warning users to“be cautious of suspicious emails”. 

The email seen by Arabian Business reads: “At Tabby, we take account security very seriously and we are dedicated to ensuring that you’re best equipped with tools to protect your Tabby account.”

The alert then went on to list a number of ways to prevent attacks and enhance security.

Tips:

Avoid opening emails from unknown or unverified senders. Emails from companies will only be sent from an official domain.

Avoid sharing personal or sensitive information as companies will never ask for sensitive information via email.

Stay away from suspicious links or attachments andrefrain from clicking on links or downloading attachments from unfamiliar sources.

Be cautious of unexpected financial requests and confirm any financial requests or changes by logging into the account via the Tabby app. Unexpected or irregular requests should be verified.

Tabby urges users to immediately report any suspicious activity to the team.
