Trafalgar Luxury Group celebrates 50th anniversary with regional expansion 

Luxury retailer Trafalgar, established in Kuwait in 1972, is celebrating its 50th anniversary by restructuring and expanding its operations as the newly formed Trafalgar Luxury Group.  

Trafalgar Luxury Group’s latest expansion saw eight new stores open across Kuwait and Bahrain in January, as well as luxury leather goods, fashion and accessories brand AIGNER open in Qatar in April. 

More brand store openings are planned for the rest of the year, including Gait, Qatar’s authorised Apple reseller, in Doha’s Place Vendôme Mall.  

In addition, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait will see welcome more brands from Trafalgar Luxury Group, including jewellery brand Marli and luxury accessory brands Furla and Bimba Y Lola.  

Trafalgar Luxury Group aims to access key retail hubs in the region, with plans to open new headquarters in UAE’s Dubai Design District. 

“Over the past 50 years, the Group has seen tremendous growth within the luxury retail sector,” said Amer Alansari, managing partner of Trafalgar Luxury Group.  

“From our first Trafalgar multi-brand store in Kuwait in 1972, we have become synonymous with luxury.  

“As we look forward to the next 50 years, it is the perfect opportunity to restructure and expand our brands under Trafalgar Luxury Group, both current and new to the rest of the region.  

The group has introduced new roles to its executive team: managing partner, chief operating officer, chief commercial officer, chief retail officer, chief financial officer and chief human resources officer.   

To strengthen its position in retail, Trafalgar Luxury Group has introduced new strategic ambitions, including commitment, integrity, excellence, evolution and a sense of belonging, to invite and establish consumer loyalty.  

Among its workforce, the group is instilling new initiatives to ensure satisfaction, including employees’ health, social and financial wellbeing.  

“As part of our redefined value proposition, employees will remain at the heart of all we say and do,” Mr Alansari added.  

The Trafalgar Luxury Group operates over 40 brands of watches and jewellery, fashion and technology, with 55 stores across Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and the UAE.  

Its franchised brands include Chopard, Patek Philippe, Bvlgari, TAG Heuer, AIGNER, Harry Winston, GUCCI, Dior and Apple.
