E-commerce platform The Fashion Net launches in the UAE

LIWA Trading Enterprises, retail franchise operator based in Abu Dhabi, launched its first e-commerce platform, The Fashion Net, on May 24.

The platform caters to shoppers in the UAE, offering loungewear, jumpsuits, lingerie, dresses, tops, skirts and beauty products from international brands.

Women’s apparel brands include La Senza, Isla & Evie, Dorina, Gossard, Dita Von Teese, Ambra, Fine Lines, Pretty Polly, Salt by Hendrix, Little Mistress and GANT Women.

Also available on the platform are menswear from GANT Men and Celio, and children’s apparel from GANT Kids and Zippy.

In efforts to create a personalised shopping experience, the platform allows shoppers to filter by brand, price, collection, style, size and colour.

LIWA Trading Enterprises promises that latest collections from brands will be available on The Fashion Net before other retailers in the UAE market.

“With the increasing demand from our consumers to be able to explore and shop multiple brands in a single destination especially after the pandemic, we wanted to create a platform that offers a bespoke line of clothing to reward out customers and present exclusive experiences customised to their unique preferences and shopping habits,” said Mark Tesseyman, CEO of LIWA Trading Enterprises.

E-commerce in the UAE was valued at over $5 billion last year, according to EZDubai, Dubai South’s e-commerce zone, and market analyst firm Euromonitor International.

By the end of the year, the fashion category of the country’s e-commerce market is estimated to record $4.86 billion in revenue, and grow at a compound annual growth rate of 9.92 per cent to value $6.64 billion in 2025, per reports by market data analyst Statista.

Besides its latest e-commerce venture, LIWA Trading Enterprises is developing Simply Kitchen, its kitchenware brand, and Dwell, its interior design solution featuring numerous international brands.

LIWA Trading Enterprises’ retail portfolio includes fashion, footwear, accessory and home categories.

The franchise operator represents 20 international brands with 250 stores across the Middle East, 185 of which are in the UAE.
