Oman: first Jashanmal store opens

Jashanmal has opened its first retail store in Oman on Level 3 of Muscat’s Mall of Oman, in keeping with its plans to expand its retail footprint in the region.

Covering 4,200 square feet, the store stocks home appliances, luggage, cookware, porcelain dinnerware, kitchen accessories and home fragrances from numerous brands, including De Longhi, Kenwood, Nespresso, Blendtec, Jura, Hoover, Bertazzoni, Porsche Design, Victorinox, Piquadro, Echolac, Kipling, Fissler, Le Creuset, Silampos, Berghoff, Dankotuwa, Ozlem Tuna, Regent, Portland, Dr Vranjes, Locheber Milano and Teatro Firenze.

The store joins Jashanmal Oman, the brand’s Omani trading company which is a regional distributor for beauty, lifestyle, luggage and appliance brands to various hypermarkets, electronics stores and local retail stores and chains.

Shuja Jashanmal, the brand’s group chief officer, said: “We see ourselves as regional retailers in the [Gulf Cooperation Council], and Oman had to be a part of our footprint.

“Omanis who visit the UAE, Bahrain or Kuwait recognise us well and have been our customers for a long time.  We have become seasoned retailers and market leaders in several product categories, so it was only natural to open a retail presence in Oman.”

Aligning with the brand’s relaunch in 2019 and its commitment to digital transformation, the Oman branch houses tablets and interactive touch screens to create an immersive experience.

Shoppers can access product catalogues of products available online and in-store.

“We are highly excited to open our first store and have plans for many more stores in different stores,” Mr Jashanmal added.

At present, Jashanmal operates 150 stores and 1,000 outlets across the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait and India.
