Ajman China Mall reports AED600 million in investments for 2021

Ajman China Mall received AED600 million in investments last year.   

Its position within a free zone improves import and export trades, with its yearly imports valued at AED3.65 billion and yearly exports valued at AED2.1 billion.   

With Ajman China Mall’s objective to diversify the emirate’s economy and sign more trade agreements, its investment value is projected to double. 

During the first nine months of 2021, Chinese-UAE trade recovered from the pandemic slump.   

It was valued at AED180 billion, a 38.1 per cent increase from 2020, Ni Jian, Chinese ambassador to the UAE, told Wakalat Anba’a al Emarat news agency.   

“The UAE is the largest investment destination of China in the Arab world. In 2020, Chinese non-financial direct investment flows to the UAE in 2020 was valued at $570 million, accounting for more than 47 per cent of the total Chinese investment world.”  

Ajman China Mall sells primarily Chinese-made items, such as furnishing, clothing and electronics, and houses more than 1,000 stores.   

The mall reported a 12 per cent growth in the number of occupants from 2020 to 2021.  

Last year, Ajman China Mall received approximately 342,000 visitors each month and recorded AED1.7 million in daily sales revenue.
