{"id":24330,"date":"2023-10-05T15:02:19","date_gmt":"2023-10-05T15:02:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/?p=24330"},"modified":"2023-10-05T15:05:09","modified_gmt":"2023-10-05T15:05:09","slug":"uae-apple-stores","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2023\/10\/05\/uae-apple-stores\/","title":{"rendered":"UAE Apple stores are among busiest worldwide, global retail chief reveals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. --><br \/>\n<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">UAE\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2023\/06\/07\/apple-to-grow-in-middle-east\/\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Apple Stores<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0are among the company\u2019s busiest in the world, according to the iPhone manufacturer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The brand has fostered &#8220;really strong&#8221; relationships with the local community, Apple\u2019s senior vice president for retail, Deirdre O\u2019Brien, told\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The National<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The retail outlets, which have been in operation for eight years, have been a key venue for the company\u2019s consumer-oriented strategy, she said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">While refraining from revealing any concrete expansion plans for the region, Ms O\u2019Brien said that the company is \u201calways looking for opportunities all around the world\u201d and the four <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/ae\/newsroom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apple<\/a> Stores in the UAE have \u201cstrong connections with our customers\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cWe never comment on our plans for the future, but what I will tell you is that we are very thrilled with the four stores we have here.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Apple Stores in the UAE typically see plenty of\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">customers during iPhone launches &#8211;\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0many of them coming from abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">For example, the\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">iPhone 15 launch on September 22<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0was one of the grandest in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cThe images that I saw of the lines here in the UAE and the excitement about the products was just phenomenal,\u201d said Ms O\u2019Brien.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The UAE Apple Stores&#8217; allure lies in its multicultural nature, with more than 50 nationalities represented and nearly 70 languages spoken by its retail teams across its four outlets, she speculates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cWithout a doubt, this is absolutely one of the truly broad representations of so many different languages and cultures.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Today, Apple operates four stores in the UAE. The first outlets in Abu Dhabi\u2019s Yas Mall and Dubai\u2019s Mall of the Emirates were launched at the same time in 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This was followed by another at The Dubai Mall in 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The fourth store, in the Galleria Mall on Abu Dhabi\u2019s Al Maryan Island, was opened in 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Apple\u2019s physical presence remains crucial regardless of the popularity of online shopping channels, added Ms O&#8217;Brien.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cMore customers are shopping online, and we certainly do see that.
