{"id":23993,"date":"2023-08-28T14:47:37","date_gmt":"2023-08-28T14:47:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/?p=23993"},"modified":"2023-08-28T14:47:54","modified_gmt":"2023-08-28T14:47:54","slug":"amazon-uae-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2023\/08\/28\/amazon-uae-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Amazon UAE launches leadership programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. --><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.ae\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amazon UAE<\/a> has launched its leadership development scheme &#8216;Amazon Future Leaders Programme \u2014 Injah\u2019 to accelerate the career growth of Emirati talent at Amazon and prepare them for leadership roles.<\/p>\n<p>The two-year talent accelerator programme kickstarts on Emirati Women\u2019s Day and is open to all Emirati employees.<\/p>\n<p>It is designed to equip Emiratis across all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2023\/06\/14\/amazon-ae-holds-workshop\/\">Amazon business<\/a> units from retail, operations, technology and payments with knowledge by imparting industry-specific management skills, cultural assimilation and mentorship to help the participants build global careers at Amazon.<\/p>\n<p>Vice president of Amazon Mena, Ronaldo Mouchawar, said: \u201cAmazon continues to invest in cultivating future leaders who share a common vision of building the most customer-centric company in the world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis transformative programme in the UAE will empower Emirati talent to unlock innovation, solve complex business problems and assimilate into Amazon\u2019s customer-obsessed culture to drive meaningful change. \u2018Amazon Future Leaders Program \u2014 Injah\u2019 has been created specifically for the UAE, in support of the \u2018We the UAE 2031\u2019 vision to continue the country\u2019s progress towards economic prosperity, social well-being and development of human capital.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The immersive programme offers on-the-job training, cross-functional exposure, one-to-one mentorship and regular meetings with business leaders, required for a progressive career at Amazon.<\/p>\n<p>Participants will apply the company\u2019s management and leadership principles to launch advanced solutions for customers.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Amazon Future Leaders Program \u2013 Injah\u2019 has been developed as part of Amazon\u2019s multi-year talent strategy to upskill and train Emirati employees for leadership roles across the region.<\/p>\n<p>Retail programme manager at Amazon UAE, Reem Aldhaheri, said: \u201cI am excited to sign up for \u2018Amazon Future Leaders Program \u2014 Injah\u2019 because it will allow me to explore various aspects of our business, identify my strengths and hone my skills.
