{"id":23686,"date":"2023-07-25T14:03:31","date_gmt":"2023-07-25T14:03:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/?p=23686"},"modified":"2023-07-25T14:03:31","modified_gmt":"2023-07-25T14:03:31","slug":"gmg-opens-columbia-store","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2023\/07\/25\/gmg-opens-columbia-store\/","title":{"rendered":"GMG launches Columbia store in Singapore\u2019s Jewel Changi Airport"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. --><br \/>\n<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">UAE retail conglomerate\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2023\/01\/26\/gmg-to-open-100-stores-southeast-asia-by-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">GMG<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0has unveiled the 1,100 square feet Columbia store at Jewel Changi Airport.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This comes as the retailer has been appointed the exclusive distributor partner of US outdoor sportswear brand Columbia across Singapore and Malaysia, extending the company\u2019s two-decades-long partnership.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">President of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmg.com\/divisions\/sports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sports<\/a>, at GMG, Carl Masterman, said: \u201cThe opening of Columbia\u2019s new store in Singapore is a testament to the strong partnership GMG has built with Columbia in the GCC region over the past two decades.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;We are absolutely thrilled to extend this partnership to the SEA region as well \u2013 allowing us to have exclusive distribution and retail operation rights in both markets.
