{"id":22686,"date":"2023-04-17T15:34:20","date_gmt":"2023-04-17T15:34:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/?p=22686"},"modified":"2023-04-17T15:35:20","modified_gmt":"2023-04-17T15:35:20","slug":"watchfinder-in-hamad-international","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2023\/04\/17\/watchfinder-in-hamad-international\/","title":{"rendered":"Watchfinder opens pre-owned luxury watch store at Hamad International Airport"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. --><br \/>\nUK-based\u00a0online retailer of second-hand watches\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.watchfinder.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Watchfinder&amp;Co<\/a> has opened the world\u2019s first luxury pre-owned watch point of sale in an airport- at Hamad International, Doha.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The store is within <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2023\/01\/26\/luxury-watch-timevallee-qatar\/\">TimeVall\u00e9e<\/a> in Qatar\u2019s Hamad International in Doha,\u00a0<\/span>which was unveiled in January this year.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">TimeVall\u00e9e is a multi-brand luxury watch retail concept created by Richemont, which also owns Watchfinder.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">CEO of Watchfinder, Arjen van de Vall, said: \u201cThat [point of sale] is working exceptionally well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cIt is our first foothold in Asia and our first airport. I think that is the first pre-owned luxury watch retailer in any airport in the world, and it is doing really well.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Watchfinder\u2019s range of pre-owned watches is sold alongside new watches from Baume et Mercier, Bell &amp; Ross, Cartier, Hublot, IWC, Jaeger LeCoultre, Panerai, Piaget and Tag Heuer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Acquired by Richemont in 2018, Watchfinder specialises in buying and selling premium pre-owned watches.
