{"id":22546,"date":"2023-04-03T14:13:45","date_gmt":"2023-04-03T14:13:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/?p=22546"},"modified":"2023-04-03T14:56:29","modified_gmt":"2023-04-03T14:56:29","slug":"talabat-uae-ramadan-campaigns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2023\/04\/03\/talabat-uae-ramadan-campaigns\/","title":{"rendered":"Talabat UAE partners with trusted charity organisations for Ramadan campaigns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. --><br \/>\n<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In collaboration with trusted local, regional and global charities, q-commerce platform <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2022\/11\/09\/talabat-uae-offers-and-aswaaq-retail-offer-q-caas-solution-to-retailers\/\">Talabat UAE<\/a> has announced various charitable Ramadan initiatives that customers can participate in through the Talabat app.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Last Ramadan, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.talabat.com\/uae\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">company<\/a> facilitated the donation of over AED 1.4 million customer in-app donations, equivalent to more than one million meals, during the month of Ramadan alone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Managing director at Talabat UAE, Tatiana Rahal, said: \u201cWe are humbled by the generosity and spirit of giving we have seen from our customers over the years, a testament to the deeply rooted culture of benevolence and philanthropy that the UAE leaders have instilled in the community.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This year, to create a positive social impact and the UAE\u2019s year of sustainability in the lead-up to COP28, the company intensified its efforts to tackle food security. This reflects the UAE\u2019s international aspiration to provide food aid, as well as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 to eradicate hunger.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;We are grateful to be in a position where we can utilise our technology for good and help make a meaningful difference in the lives of others,&#8221; said Ms Rahal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;We are particularly focusing on innovative ways to give back to the community and supporting sustainable initiatives that tackle food security with our partners, such as the &#8216;Spread the Loaf&#8217; initiative under the &#8216;Bread for All&#8217; campaign that aims to provide fresh bread around the clock to those in need in the UAE.
