{"id":22478,"date":"2023-03-28T07:41:42","date_gmt":"2023-03-28T07:41:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/?p=22478"},"modified":"2023-03-28T07:41:42","modified_gmt":"2023-03-28T07:41:42","slug":"geant-opens-supermarket-in-sharjahs-kalba","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2023\/03\/28\/geant-opens-supermarket-in-sharjahs-kalba\/","title":{"rendered":"G\u00e9ant opens supermarket in Sharjah&#8217;s Kalba"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. --><br \/>\nG\u00e9ant has opened its first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2022\/12\/23\/geant-opens-supermarket-in-uae\/\">supermarket<\/a> in the city of Kalba, which is part of the emirate of Sharjah, the company said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Located in the Kalba Waterfront Mall, the store will provide a local fresh produce range, a large fresh food section and a live grilled fishery section serving cooked food for order and pick up.<\/p>\n<p>A G\u00e9ant Express store has also opened in Jumeirah 1 at Port de le Mer.<\/p>\n<p>Home delivery will also be available in the vicinity of both stores via local delivery platforms.<\/p>\n<p>G\u00e9ant is a chain of supermarkets and hypermarkets that are part of the French retailing giant Groupe Casino, with a turnover of 30 billion euros and part of GMG\u2019s everyday goods division in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2023\/02\/10\/geant-opens-two-stores-in-uae\/\">UAE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There are currently sixteen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2023\/02\/10\/geant-expansion-2023\/\">G\u00e9ant<\/a> supermarkets across UAE.<\/p>\n<p>Marc Laurent, president for retail everyday goods at GMG, said: \u201cOur stores, be it supermarkets, hypermarkets or the more compact Express concept, continue to thrive and act as true hubs of the community.
