Located in Logistics District in Dubai South, the centre has a storage capacity of 2.1 million cubic feet spread across 350,000 square feet.<\/p>\n This is expected to increase Amazon\u2019s total storage capacity in the UAE by 70 per cent, the company said.<\/p>\n Ronaldo Mouchawar, Vice President of Amazon Mena, said: \u201cAt Amazon, we continue to emphasise our focus on providing the best and fastest selection of products to our customers in the UAE.<\/p>\n Fulfilment centres have a ripple effect across the economy, contributing significantly to the growth of e-commerce sales, building capacity and accelerating entrepreneurship by allowing sellers and start-ups to leverage Amazon\u2019s world-class fulfilment offerings to reach more customers with a wider selection of products.<\/p>\n At the same time, we continue to invest in building the UAE\u2019s talent capabilities, creating diverse career paths in an industry-leading workplace.\u201d<\/p>\n Amazon currently has three fulfilment centres in the UAE, apart from three sort centres, eight delivery stations and a network of small and medium businesses working as delivery service partners.<\/p>\n “With the opening of this facility, we are geared up to offer even more products to more customers during the busy time of Ramadan<\/a>“, said Prashant Saran, director of operations for Amazon Mena.<\/p>\n
