{"id":21766,"date":"2023-03-01T06:51:03","date_gmt":"2023-03-01T06:51:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/?p=21766"},"modified":"2023-03-01T06:51:03","modified_gmt":"2023-03-01T06:51:03","slug":"joyalukkas-jewellery-to-open-30-stores-in-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2023\/03\/01\/joyalukkas-jewellery-to-open-30-stores-in-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Joyalukkas Jewellery to open 30 stores in 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. --><br \/>\nDubai-based jewellery brand <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2023\/02\/22\/joyalukkas-group-wins-retail-jeweller-world-middle-east-award\/\">Joyalukkas<\/a> has said it will open 30 stores this year in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Oman, apart from India.<\/p>\n<p>Joy Alukkas, the founder of the group told Gulf News: \u201cWe need to be extremely careful with new store locations \u2013 having more than two within the same neighbourhood or a few miles of one other won\u2019t make sense any longer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, rather than a few more stores in Dubai \u2013 where we already have our highest number \u2013 we could do that in Al Ain [in the UAE], Saudi Arabia or Oman.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe opened recently in the US and Singapore is a good place to be with our expansion this year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The company has three stores each in Saudi Arabia and Oman. It will open 15 stores across these locations this year.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2022\/10\/21\/retailers-in-dubai-prepare-for-busy-diwali\/\">India<\/a>, the company will launch 15 stores as well.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Alukkas had launched his first gold store in the UAE in 1988. The group&#8217;s business includes jewellery and money exchange in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2022\/12\/23\/how-millennials-and-foreign-tourists-drive-uae-online-gold-jewellery-sales\/\">Middle East<\/a>. In India, the company runs clothing stores as well as malls.
