Baker, said: \u201cWe started a new chapter of expansion by establishing GMG on the global marketplace a couple of years ago.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;We have taken a step forward to establish our new Asian headquarters in Malaysia, enabling GMG to capitalize on the burgeoning sports retail industry in Asia. We have designed an aggressive roadmap for our brands in this region, and this move will also allow us to serve our Southeast Asian customers better, closer to home.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Since entering the SEA market three years ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmg.com\/about\/heritage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the company <\/a>has opened 31 stores across Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">As part of its expansion in this region, GMG acquired Royal Sporting House, a multi-brand sports retailer in Singapore and Malaysia in 2020, extending its reach into key Asian markets with a potential customer base of up to 700 million people.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Last year, GMG further expanded its footprint in the region with the acquisition of Nike-only stores from <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">SUTL Corporation<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In December 2020, GMG unveiled a new brand identity RSH, one of the largest multi-brand sports retailers in Southeast Asia, to affirm its influence across key international markets with a potential customer base of up to 700 million people.
