As one of the largest gateways in the region that is utilized by many players in the financial ecosystem, it enables its partners to accept a wide range of digital transactions easily and securely, including all leading card brands and other non-card payment methods.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMastercard works to co-create a new reality for the digital payments ecosystem,\u201d said Maria Medvedeva, Country Business Manager, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, Mastercard. \u201cWe are delighted to expand the reach of our innovative MPGS technology in Bahrain, in collaboration with EazyPay, to support the GCC nation\u2019s rapidly growing e-commerce industry and ambitious digital transformation strategy. The move strengthens Mastercard\u2019s presence and expands digital payment acceptance in the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Companies in Bahrain\u2019s dynamic fintech space play a vital role in cascading access to solutions that can aid digital transformation in the SME sector, which contributes around 30 per cent of Bahrain\u2019s gross domestic product. In line with its Economic Vision 2030, the country has also invested in frameworks that seek to develop a robust entrepreneurship ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur aim is to add value, and Mastercard\u2019s seamless MPGS technology solution gives us the opportunity to do that. We are united in our vision to make digital and e-commerce payments more seamless, smart, and swift, creating pathways to progress in new ways,\u201d said Nayef Tawfeeq Al Alawi, Founder and CEO of Eazy Financial Services.<\/p>\n<p>In August 2022, Eazy made the Forbes list of top 25 fintech companies in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2023\/01\/24\/uae-startups-get-the-biggest-share-of-regional-funding\/\">Middle East<\/a>. In 2021, the company launched its EazyPay POS terminals, which allowed local merchants and SMEs to accept contactless payments.
