\nMarking its return to Sharjah after a decade, British retailer Marks & Spencer<\/a>, operated by Al-Futtaim Group in the region, has unveiled a new branch on the first floor at City Centre Al Zahia<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new Marks & Spencer store is spread across 14,500 square feet, showcasing an extensive range of food products, womenswear, menswear, kidswear and lingerie, as well as special edit of the beauty catalogue.<\/span><\/p>\n

General manager of Marks & Spencer in the Mena region at Al Futtaim Retail, Nick Batey, said: \u201cWe are very pleased to return to Sharjah, introducing a new and enhanced Marks & Spencer shopping experience to its communities. <\/span><\/p>\n

“With the opening of the City Centre Al Zahia store, our goal is to offer our customers in Sharjah a wider range of high-quality lines of womenswear, menswear and kidswear as well as an unrivalled product assortment with the new M&S Food Hall and Caf\u00e9.”\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the Marks&Spenser Food Hall at City Centre Al Zahia is the second in the region after the Dubai Hills Mall outlet to introduce self-checkout points for its customers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Established by Michael Marks and Thomas Spencer in Leeds in 1884, Marks&Spencer has become a <\/span>major British multinational retailer with headquarters in London that specialises in selling clothing, beauty, home and food products.<\/span><\/p>\n

In October 2018, the brand celebrated 20 years in the UAE.<\/span><\/p>\n

Its first store opened in 1998 in Deira, Dubai, and in 2007, the largest Marks&Spenser store outside of the UK opened in Dubai Festival City Mall.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following a major revamp, Marks & Spencer\u2019s flagship store at Dubai Festival City Mall re-opened its doors in 2017.<\/p>\n

Today, Al-Futtaim Group operates Marks & Spencer stores in eight markets: the UAE, Jordan, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Lebanon and Egypt.<\/span><\/p>\n
