\nAs Hamad International Airport is gearing up for the final countdown to the Fifa World Cup 2022, Qatar Duty Free has become the \u2018World\u2019s Leading Airport Duty Free Operator 2022\u2019 in the World Travel Awards.<\/p>\n
Qatar The winner has been selected out of 10 eligible nominees recruited from more than one hundred competitors for the accolade.<\/p>\n
Vice president of Qatar Duty Free, Thabet Musleh, said: \u201cIt is with great pride and pleasure to be awarded the World\u2019s Leading Airport Duty Free Operator and the Middle East\u2019s Leading Airport Duty Free Operator by the prestigious World Travel Awards. The award ceremony took place at the World Travel Awards Grand Final Ceremony and Gala Dinner on November 11.<\/p>\n
The Duty Free’s accolade is due in no small part to the roaring success of the recent expansion of the retail area at Hamad International Airport which offers more than 65 retail and dining outlets across its three levels.<\/p>\n
Last month, Qatar Duty Free was recognised as the Middle East\u2019s \u2018Leading Airport Duty Free Operator 2022\u2019 by the World Travel Awards at the Ritz-Carlton in Amman, Jordan.<\/p>\n
The recently unveiled location boasts a lush orchard and 10,000 square metres indoor tropical garden called The Orchard alongside various luxury boutiques.<\/p>\n
Qatar Airways Group CEO, Mr Akbar Al Baker, said: \u201cWe are very pleased to be launching the Expansion of Hamad International Airport, an airport that has truly grown to become the ultimate example of a successful, sustainable global facility.<\/p>\n
