{"id":18277,"date":"2022-08-23T20:02:33","date_gmt":"2022-08-23T20:02:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/?p=18277"},"modified":"2022-08-24T08:51:33","modified_gmt":"2022-08-24T08:51:33","slug":"fashion-brand-lc-waikiki-opens-36th-store-in-gcc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2022\/08\/23\/fashion-brand-lc-waikiki-opens-36th-store-in-gcc\/","title":{"rendered":"Fashion brand LC WAIKIKI opens 36th store in GCC\u202f\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. --><br \/>\nGlobal fashion and retail conglomerate LC Waikiki, operated by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2022\/08\/18\/apparel-group-opens-rb-fashion-store-in-dubai-festival-city-mall\/\">Apparel Group<\/a>, has opened its 36th store in the GCC in Dubai Festival City.<\/p>\n<p>The move is part of the brand\u2019s impressive expansion plan here in the Middle East that saw its flagship store open in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2022\/07\/25\/flash-sale-runs-across-emaar-malls-today\/\">Dubai Hills Mall<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n<p>LC Waikiki specialises in clothing, footwear and accessories for men, women and children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEntering the Dubai market is yet another milestone for LC Waikiki and we are proud to do so with our partner Apparel Group,\u201d said Mahir Bozkurt, international retail operations director of LC Waikiki.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday LC Waikiki has become truly international by adding new countries and markets to its operations. Currently, we are operating in 27 countries with very promising results.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2022\/04\/18\/qatars-place-vendome-to-introduce-20-brands-from-apparel-group\/\">LC Waikiki<\/a> opened its largest store in the Middle East in Qatar&#8217;s Place Vendome Mall.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in France in 1988, the brand opened its first GCC store in Saudi Arabia in 2012. Today, it has more than 500 stores around the world.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of last year, LC Waikiki reported a turnover of $3 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The Apparel Group conglomerate has franchised more than 78 fashion, footwear and lifestyle brands and operates more than 1,900 stores across the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>The group recently participated in Dubai Summer Surprises.<\/p>\n<p>Until July 10, the Apparel Group covered value-added tax on purchases across its retail outlets and its e-commerce site, <em>6thstreet.com<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The group also offered points to members of Club Apparel, its loyalty programme, in celebration of the shopping event.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty-four lucky shoppers won 1,250 points, worth AED1,250, and seven won 10,000, worth AED10,000.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Global fashion and retail conglomerate LC Waikiki, operated by the Apparel Group, has opened its 36th store in the GCC in Dubai Festival City.
