{"id":18097,"date":"2022-08-15T08:15:45","date_gmt":"2022-08-15T08:15:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/?p=18097"},"modified":"2022-08-17T21:35:15","modified_gmt":"2022-08-17T21:35:15","slug":"chalhoub-group-celebrates-international-youth-day-with-employment-opportunities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2022\/08\/15\/chalhoub-group-celebrates-international-youth-day-with-employment-opportunities\/","title":{"rendered":"Chalhoub Group celebrates International Youth Day with employment opportunities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. --><br \/>\nChalhoub Group, luxury retail operator, celebrated International Youth Day on August 12 by continuing to partner with educational bodies to provide <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2022\/06\/03\/the-chalhoub-group-signs-mou-with-fashion-department-of-saudi-arabian-university\/\">mentorships<\/a> and workshops to youth in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The partnerships mark the group\u2019s efforts to support nationalisation and boost <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2022\/04\/20\/saudi-arabias-fashion-commission-signs-mou-with-luxury-retailer-chalhoub-group\/\">youth employability<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Chalhoub Group is implementing the UAE government\u2019s YES2WORK initiative, which aims to boost employability among students aged 15 to 21.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative comes after the country\u2019s labour laws were updated to allow students to work in part-time positions.<\/p>\n<p>Through the initiative, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2022\/07\/22\/chalhoub-group-opens-three-molton-brown-stores-in-uae-and-qatar\/\">Chalhoub Group<\/a> offers students the opportunity to gain experiences and skills working in the luxury retail sector.<\/p>\n<p>The group has also partnered with GEMS Academy in Dubai to give high school students various internships.<\/p>\n<p>Also running is the second edition of the Chalhoub Group\u2019s National Graduate Programme, which seeks to hire and train those pursuing careers in luxury retail across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.<\/p>\n<p>Finance graduates interested in the luxury retail sector can also enrol in the programme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYouth are the future;
