{"id":17723,"date":"2022-07-15T19:18:57","date_gmt":"2022-07-15T19:18:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/?p=17723"},"modified":"2022-08-20T14:53:30","modified_gmt":"2022-08-20T14:53:30","slug":"eros-opens-its-15th-store-in-uae-in-ibn-battuta-mall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.meretailnews.com\/2022\/07\/15\/eros-opens-its-15th-store-in-uae-in-ibn-battuta-mall\/","title":{"rendered":"EROS opens its 15th store in UAE in Ibn Battuta Mall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. --><br \/>\nEROS, UAE-based consumer electronics and home appliances retailer, has opened its 15<sup>th<\/sup> store in Ibn Battuta Mall.<\/p>\n<p>The opening is part of the retailer\u2019s multi-billion-dirham strategy to expand its operations and support the local retail economy by creating more jobs.<\/p>\n<p>The store stocks products from numerous international brands, including Samsung, Apple, Lenovo, Hitachi, TCL, Midea, Ariston, Huawei and Amazfit.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammad Badri and Ahmad Badri, directors of the EROS Group, Alex Lim, president of Samsung\u2019s Middle East and North Africa division, and Seong Hyun Lee, president of Samsung\u2019s operations in the Gulf, inaugurated the store opening.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe new store features a collection of premium global brands of latest gadgets, digital devices and home appliances such as smartphones, laptops and washing machines, amongs others,\u201d Mr Mohammad Badri.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is in line with our vision and endeavour to reach closer to our customers in different parts of the UAE.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the recent development of residences and property in and around Ibn Battuta Mall, this has fuelled demand for electronics and appliances, which can be catered to with our new premium store at Ibn Battuta Mall.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>EROS will open more stores across the UAE throughout the year, the group said.<\/p>\n<p>The retailer\u2019s expansion plans began last year with stores opening in Nakheel Mall in Dubai and City Centre Al Zahia in Sharjah.<\/p>\n<p>In December, EROS increased its focus on e-commerce.<\/p>\n<p>Products from EROS Digital Home, the group\u2019s division offering primarily home appliances, were added to <em>www.eros.ae<\/em> to boost sales and improve logistics and product delivery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConsumer buying trends in retail and e-commerce business have changed after the Covid-19 pandemic introduced a new lifestyle and work culture in the past two years,\u201d Mr Badri told <em>Khaleej Times<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have aligned our business strategy in line with the market trends to cater to our consumers\u2019 needs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The strategy was met with increased online orders.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnline sales contribute 20 to 25 per cent to our business annually.
