\nIndian-based eyewear retailer Lenskart has partnered with Noon to deliver its products across the Middle East.<\/p>\n

This is Lenskart\u2019s first alliance with an e-commerce platform in the region.<\/p>\n

The partnership comes as part of the retailer\u2019s aggressive expansion plans in the region.<\/p>\n

Shoppers can find the retailer\u2019s own brands, John Jacobs and Vincent Chase, on Noon and instore.<\/p>\n

Also available are Lenskart\u2019s BLU contact lenses, which block blue light from electronic devices.<\/p>\n

The lenses were made amid the pandemic with customers working from home top of mind.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving a presence on a platform as strong as Noon will allow us to forge into the regional eyewear business and will be a great showcase our technology-backed products,\u201d said Madhur Acharya, VP of Lenskart\u2019s e-commerce division.<\/p>\n

\u201cNoon will become the first regional e-commerce platform that Lenskart will be available on, emphasising the brand\u2019s confidence and our commitment to the Middle East market.\u201d<\/p>\n

The UAE\u2019s e-commerce market is estimated to be worth more than $8 billion by 2025, marking a 60 per cent growth from last year, according to surveys conducted by e-commerce hub EZDubai and market research firm Euromonitor International.<\/p>\n

In addition, 75 per cent of consumers in the country reported online shopping activity in 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are very excited to be partnering with one of the biggest e-commerce platforms in the Middle East,\u201d said Sudhir Syal, chief business officer at Lenskart.<\/p>\n

\u201cNoon has established itself as a major player in the market and for Lenskart, this is a step towards establishing us as a true omnichannel brand accessible to consumers across multiple touchpoints.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe eyewear category both online and on Noon is expanding rapidly. We aim to be an important part of that growth.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lenskart first entered the Middle East last year with a store in Dubai Festival City Mall.<\/p>\n

To date, the eyewear retailer has opened stores in Dubai\u2019s BurJuman Mall and Ibn Battuta Mall, Abu Dhabi\u2019s Dalma Mall and Al Ain\u2019s Bawadi Mall.<\/p>\n

In a series investment round last year, Abu Dhabi\u2019s Falcon Edge Capital, Singapore\u2019s Temasek Holding and Texas Pacific Group raised $220 million for Lenskart, bringing the retailer\u2019s value to $5 billion.<\/p>\n

Lenskart aims to open 20 stores across the UAE by March next year and operate 200 in the region in the next two years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
