\nBeyooot, Egyptian furniture e-commerce start-up, has launched operations with a capital of EGP5 million, catering to the UAE and Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n
The company is the region\u2019s first online platform to showcase home and office furniture using augmented reality technology, allowing customers to view items in various setups.<\/p>\n
In keeping with the Egyptian government\u2019s goal to export locally made products to international markets, the start-up\u2019s objective is to expose Egyptian manufacturers and their products to a wider consumer pool across the region.<\/p>\n
To do so, Beyooot is running marketing and advertising campaigns to increase traffic rates on its site.<\/p>\n
The company is currently partnered with 30 Egyptian manufacturers and estimates it will carry products of 100 manufacturers by the end of the month.<\/p>\n
Hussein Talaat, co-founder and CEO of Beyooot, said the start-up aims to be contracted with 1,000 manufacturers by the end of this year.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a team with great expertise in the field of furniture trade within the Gulf\u2019s markets in terms of sales, marketing, customer service and technical support, as well as logistical services, shipping and warehousing suitable with the nature of those markets,\u201d said Mr Talaat.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese expertise were acquired over several years of work in several markets, especially the Saudi market, where we managed to achieve sales worth over SAR35 million and reach over 300,000 customers.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is how the idea of Beyooot came up, which will be the first electronic platform for furniture trading based on technology.\u201d<\/p>\n
By the end of 2022, Beyooot hopes to cater to more countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have logistic support services in other Gulf countries. We are all set in terms of logistics and we have the qualified experiences to move on,\u201d Mr Talaat added.<\/p>\n
The site allows customers to pay in local currencies and track their orders.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough our platform, we provide many electronic payment methods in several currencies according to each country, in addition to the technical support service that helps customers receive answers to all their questions,\u201d said Mr Talaat.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe also have systems to track orders starting from the moment they were selected all the way to the stages of manufacturing, shipment and receipt.\u201d<\/p>\n
