data-contrast=\"auto\">Luxury retailer Chalhoub Group plans to double its workforce in Saudi Arabia to meet increasing demand for high-end fashion.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Dubai-based retailer, which sells brands such as Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Dior and Tumi<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> in 14 countries, currently <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">employs more than 12,500 <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">people<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> worldwide and <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">3,400 people in the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">k<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">ingdom<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cWe will definitely see ourselves at 5,000 to 6,000 people within the next five years<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201d<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">Patrick Chalhoub, CEO of Chalhoub Group<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">told <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Arab News<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Saudi Arabia<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> contributes approximately 40<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> per cent<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> of the company\u2019s retail and beauty products, and 20<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> per cent<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> of its fashion revenue.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Previously, the Chalhoub Group saw 20<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> per cent<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> of Saudis visiting stores<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">;<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> today <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">that <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">figure <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">is<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> 90<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> per cent.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> growth \u201cmotivated [them] to continue to grow in the Middle East and especially in Saudi Arabia<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201d <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">said Mr Chalhoub.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cMuch more than 50% of our activity should be there.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The group is also experiencing an influx of online sales and engagement via social media, a relatively new form of sales for the company.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In line with this growth, Chalhoub hopes to bring digital engineers and marketers on board to \u201ccapture, understand and engage with customer data on social media\u201d.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Mr Chalhoub says this shift is thanks to the current trend of looking beyond conventional fashion leaders.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cMore than ever, people engage through social media networks with a large circle of friends about what is happening today,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cThe prevailing interest in this form of marketing and sales drives Chalhoub\u2019s intention to be an integral part of this conversation.\u201d<\/span><span
