talabat partners with Monoprix to promote made-in-Qatar brands 

Middle East q-commerce platform talabat has partnered with retail chain Monoprix in Qatar to promote locally-made products on its app.

“talabat’s commitment to supporting local brands aligns with the country’s vision of promoting the growth and development of the local economy,” a statement said.

“With its collaboration with Monoprix, talabat aims to take the lead in supporting and promoting the Made in Qatar products, which are the pride of the country. Customers can now order made-in-Qatar products through the talabat app and have them delivered straight to their doorstep, experiencing convenient and hassle-free shopping,” the statement added,” a statement said.

Participating brands include American Garden, Baladna, Dandy, Ghadeer, Mazzraty, Mcvitie’s, Pringles, Qatar Pafki, QBake and Rayyan.

Managing director at talabat, Francisco Miguel De Sousa, said: “At talabat, contributing to the growth of the local economy and offering a taste of Qatar’s rich and authentic culture is very important to us. By promoting Made-in-Qatar brands on our app, we aim to support local businesses and celebrate the authenticity and traditional flavours of homegrown products.”

The q-commerce platform has recorded a 70 per cent growth in the overall non-food online delivery segment, including supermarkets, grocery stores and flower shops.

The company also achieved an order growth of more than 37 per cent in 2022 across its portfolio of food, groceries, and other non-food verticals.
