Apparel Group gets best CSR initiative award in retail sector

Apparel Group, a UAE-based retail fashion and lifestyle conglomerate, has received the CSR Award for exemplary corporate social responsibility in the retail category at the Qatar CSR Summit.

As a strategic partner of the UN Global Compact, Apparel Group is committed to corporate social responsibility initiatives.

The CSR Award signifies contributions to the community and dedication to environmental stewardship and social welfare. 

The summit, held at Qatar University on May 16–18, brought together CSR experts and professionals to explore the incorporation of economic, social and environmental goals into organisational operations.

One of the company’s notable initiatives aligns with Qatar’s efforts to ban plastic usage.

This year, Apparel Group has made significant strides towards sustainability including organising beach cleanups, participating in Earth Hour initiatives and contributing to earthquake relief funds. 

Apparel Group operates more than 2025 retail stores and over 80 brands on all platforms while employing 20,000 personnel.
