Make-up and beauty brand Liht Organics launched a VR stall at the Mall of the Emirates in January.
Here, customers could create their online avatars and apply make-up without physically trying it on.

Speaking earlier to ME Retail News, Ms Low had said: “the podium at Mall of the Emirates was a good chance to showcase the brand’s products, as well as to give an insight into the brand’s progressive direction towards the future of beauty with the first beauty VR experience here in the Middle East.”
Her company also struck a partnership with Bahrain’s royal family in 2021, where The Private Office of Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Duaij Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa helped set up distribution channels.
What is the best way to start your day?
Waking up to my pets! Mochi, my Corgi gives me the warmest morning cuddles and my cat Chowder literally hangs onto me while I make my coffee. It’s the best thing ever to be surrounded by such pure love first thing in the morning. I calibrate my day ahead with meditation music while I go through my emails to ease my mind into work mode. My day is also not complete without a workout because it is so easy to be distracted by everything else during the day, so a gym session or a swim in the morning is essential to start my day right!
If you could be any character from a movie, who would you be?
Jean Grey from X-MEN! I love how intuitive she is….and how powerful yet she keeps it all under control but everyone knows she is a force to be reckoned with. Her deep character is multi-faceted and I think she is a great representation of someone who is awakened to the many sides there are to them that are all very dominant yet different, but they all co-exist in divine perfection.
What is your greatest achievement?
Apart from my previous successes in the financial industry which equipped me with the confidence to start Liht Organics which of course is my current pride, I would say being a great Fur mom — according to my friends and family — and I hope that this will be a good practice for when I become a mother to my children in the future. Success to me is about being balanced, and my goal is to navigate through life being the best I can be in every aspect.
What advice would you give your 13-year-old self?
To always stand firm on her beliefs and be unwavering about her dreams no matter how audacious it is. Social conditioning is very deeply embedded in the Asian culture, and while there are some teachings and practices that are very beneficial to the family unit and to society, the discouragement of the younger generation to question their elders creates a mental ceiling that suppresses their dreams and hinders their creative development and growth.
If you had 24 hours left on Earth, what would you do?
Tell everyone that I love them and to ensure that I do everything I can to ensure that my family is well taken care of. Having had a few near death experiences in my life, I am fully aware that tomorrow is never a given. Our lives are so fragile, yet it is easy to take it for granted that we always have time. That is why I live my life as if it is my last day, and go all out to do what I need to do to ensure my time here is not wasted.
Who or what is your biggest inspiration?
My pets! We have so much to learn from them. They love unconditionally, don’t bear grudges and always put us before themselves. They are a constant reminder to me everyday of what I should be as a human being in my purest form.
What would you like to achieve in the next 10 years?
My ultimate dream is to build an empire successful enough to be able to fulfil my life’s mission — to build an animal foundation and to protect as much rainforest land as possible to protect the planet and its inhabitants. The Amazon rainforest contributes 20 per cent of the world’s oxygen and it is essential for ensuring that life on earth continues. As a collective we are able to do so much more, so apart from my own personal goals I hope that that more and more people are awakened to this idea that this planet is ours to keep alive and to do our bit to save it.
