Géant opens two stores in UAE

French supermarket chain Géant is expanding in the UAE, with two new Géant Express stores opened in Dubai’s Marina Quays and Nshama Town Square this week.

A statement said that home delivery will also be available in the vicinity of both stores via local delivery platforms.

The new stores are part of Géant’s ‘Express’ concept which will allow the retailer to open shop in smaller neighbourhoods.

Géant is a chain of supermarkets and hypermarkets that are part of the French retailing giant Groupe Casino, with a turnover of more than 30 billion euros. In the UAE, the company is part of GMG’s consumer goods division.

There are currently ten Géant Express convenient stores across Dubai and a recently launched Géant Hypermarket at Dubai Hills Mall and Al Khawaneej Walk. In addition, Géant continues its partnership with ADNOC to strategically place Géant Express stores within their portfolio of petrol forecourts.
