The Mall of the Emirates in Dubai is opening a Harry Potter store this week, on February 10. The store will be 1,500 square feet and will sell merchandise, clothing, and memorabilia from the Harry Potter franchise.

Visitors can expect to find toys, souvenirs, and clothing inspired by the wizarding world. The store will also have iconic props from the series, including a sorting hat and a train luggage trolley, for fans to take photos with.

Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Miral, said: “We are very proud of our continuous partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery and excited to be bringing this spellbinding first to the Middle East and the world in the future.

“This is yet another testament to our commitment to continue to position Yas Island as a top global destination for entertainment and leisure, and a great addition to Abu Dhabi’s tourism offerings, contributing to the growth and economic diversification of the Emirate.”

The Harry Potter franchise remains well-loved in Dubai and the UAE, even after 20 years since the first book’s publication. Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi on Yas Island is building a Harry Potter theme park. This will be the first Harry Potter-themed land in the Middle East and is being constructed by Miral.

The Harry Potter series, first released in 1997, has maintained its popularity worldwide with various spin-off experiences in the form of theme parks, retail stores, and others.

On Friday, a new video game called “Hogwarts Legacy” will be released. Players will take on the role of a fifth-year Hogwarts student in an open-world, immersive gameplay.

The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox X/S. The Mall of the Emirates pop-up shop is inspired by the Harry Potter New York store, which boasts the largest collection of themed merchandise.

The Wizarding World Shop at Mall of the Emirates will be open daily from 4pm onwards.
