UAE payment gateway provider receives NESA certification

Dubai-based payment gateway provider Telr has received National Electronic Security Authority certification in the UAE.

NESA is responsible for protecting the country’s critical infrastructure and national security from cyber threats and its certification for payment gateways has been required by the Central Bank of UAE Retail Payment Services & Card Schemes Regulations since June 2021.

It also aims to create and enforce policies and regulations regarding cyber security, and provide guidance and support for organisations and individuals to improve their cyber security defenses.

Meanwhile, Telr is a payment gateway provider that serves SMEs, government agencies, and corporations.

Its platform supports various payment methods and integrations and has received recognition, including the Start-up of the Year award in 2014 and the Best Payment Product in the Middle East award in 2015.

The company has presence in the UAE and Saudi Arabia and is expanding in the Mena region. It offers financial and business services like social commerce, QR codes, e-commerce platform, anti-fraud protection, shopping cart integrations, and more, in over 120 currencies and 30 languages.
