Dubai-based grocery retail chain Choithrams has joined forces with Rove Hotel to open eight new convenience stores across the hotel brand’s properties in Dubai.

Scheduled to open in the second quarter of next year, these convenience stores will run 24-hour operations offering a wide range of fresh and ready-to-eat food and fast-moving consumer products to cater to the hotels’ guests as well as city residents.

CEO of Choithrams, Rajiv Warrier, said: “Choithrams already have stores at many key locations across Dubai, and Rove Hotels are the perfect partner for us to enter this retail segment. Customer obsession is at the heart of everything we do, and this partnership takes us further in our aim to be wherever our consumer wants us to be.”

Last month, the chain unveiled four new outlets to serve more communities in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The new stores opened at Palm Shoreline, Sobha Hartland and Tiara Business Bay in Dubai and Darwish in Abu Dhabi.

In addition, two months ago, Choithrams expanded its collaboration with Deliveroo UAE.

“Providing convenience and great value to our Rovers are some of the most important pillars of the Rove brand. Hence, we are excited to collaborate with Choithrams to open 24-hour stores across our properties. Whether guests will be looking for amenities to complement their stay experience, or a quick snack after a day exploring the city, they will be able to get everything without stepping out of the hotel,” said COO of Rove Hotels, Paul Bridger.

Rove Hotels currently has four operational hotels in Dubai: Rove Downtown, Rove City Centre, Rove Healthcare City and Rove Trade Centre.

In 2016, the hotel chain already partnered with another grocery retailer-  ENOC Retail, Emirates National Oil Company’s retail segment, to open ZOOM store at  Rove Downtown Dubai.
