Printemps Doha department store opens

With the Fifa World Cup 2022 well underway, Printemps Doha, the largest luxury department store in the Middle East, has opened its doors in Qatar, within the Doha Oasis complex.

The second-largest Printemps store worldwide, Printemps Doha is a new-generation department store that merges an immersive physical experience and advanced technologies to create an ultra-personalised customer experience.

CEO of Printemps Group, Jean-Marc Bellaiche, said: “The new Printemps store within Doha Oasis is strategic for a lot of Qataris as many old families in Qatar were living in this area. The emotional link between the customers is strong for both locations.”

Spanning an area of more than 40,000 square metres across three floors, the flagship Doha department is the first Printemps outpost outside of France.

Printemps Doha is the only department store in Qatar to house all the high-end fashion labels under one roof including Louis Vuitton, Dior, Valentino, Bottega Venetta, Balmain, Pinel & Pinel, Bäumer Vendôme and LÉTRANGE.

Printemps Doha strives to be the main destination for urban lifestyle and interior design by offering renowned luxury and contemporary home and audio brands.

In addition, Printemps Doha features the biggest beauty and wellness zone in Qatar, selling more than 130 brands.

Customers will be able to shop virtually and book the most sought-after pieces through Printemps’ dedicated personal shoppers who are directly connected with the Printemps Paris team.

Printemps has also joined forces with creative industry hub Qatar’s M7 on a three-month mentorship programme. The scheme aims to guide seven short-listed Qatar-based nascent designers through their creative process while teaching them the vital skills of the fashion business as well as connecting them with key industry experts to prepare them for the cut-and-thrust retail market.

“This partnership initiative with M7 is a significant one and reflects our commitment at Printemps to engage with and support designers,” said general manager of Printemps Doha, Thierry Provost.
